  3. INSTRUCTIONS - FIRST TIME WINDOWS 3.0 and 3.0a INSTALLATION

  5. Follow the instructions contained in the WIN30DRV.DOC file to install the
  6. Tseng ET4000 display drivers.

  9. INSTRUCTIONS - WINDOWS 3.0 or 3.0a ALREADY INSTALLED
  10.  
  11. To use the Tseng ET4000 Windows drivers you need to copy the following
  12. files into the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory.

  31. If you have ALREADY installed Windows 3.0, you can copy the above list of
  32. files into the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory. After you copy the files, change
  33. the display configuration from within Windows itself to one of the extended
  34. drivers. See the Windows documentation for further information.

  36.                                 IMPORTANT
  37. If you have Windows 3.0a, you also need to copy the SETUP.W3A file as SETUP.INF
  38. before you run the SETUP program.

  41. When you run the Windows Setup to change to a different driver Windows may
  42. prompt you for some of the Windows Installation diskettes. The drivers use 
  43. display fonts which are contained on the standard Windows distribution
  44. diskettes.
  45.  
  46. The enclosed drivers are generic and should work with most ET4000 based boards.
  47. The drivers have various display memory requirements and of course your display
  48. monitor must be able to support the resolution you select.

  72. It is important that the drivers be installed properly, replacement
  73. grabbers (GR2 extension) and Virtual-Display-Device handler (386 extension) are
  74. included to properly support the extended feature set of the ET4000 VGA chip.
